- State Farm Bank® Full Service Financial
Knowing what to do after an injury or property loss occurs can make the experience less stressful and decrease the chance of unnecessary complications.
After A Property Loss
- Promptly report the loss to your agent.
- Take reasonable steps to protect the property from further damage or loss.
- If the loss is caused by theft, notify the police. State Farm requires that all theft losses are reported to the police. Please retain officer's name and occurrence number.
- If the loss involves a credit card or bank fund transfer card, notify the credit card company or bank immediately.
- Keep an accurate record of your repair expenditures.
- Separate items that may be cleaned and/or repaired.
- Check with your claim representative before you discard any items you plan to claim as damaged.
- Review your policy for coverage details and special limits with your State Farm agent or claim representative.
After An Injury
- Promptly report it to your agent.
- Obtain names and addresses of any witnesses.
- Don't voluntarily make payments, assume obligations, or incur expenses, except for emergency first-aid at the time of the bodily injury.
Personal Property Form
Following a personal property loss, you will need to provide an inventory of the lost, stolen or damaged items to your Claim Representative. You can provide the information your Claim Representative needs to settle your Claim by filling out a Personal Property form.
This form can be filled out online or you may print it and complete it by hand. After you complete the form you will need to print it and mail it or fax it to your Claim Representative. Please keep a copy of the completed form for your records. Select "CN" for Canada. Please review the instructions for filling out the form located on the bottom of the form.
Personal Property Inventory Form
You may wish to obtain estimates from contractors experienced in repair work. If your loss is eligible, you may be interested in our State Farm Premier Service Program.
We will pay to repair or replace your damaged property subject to the terms and conditions of your policy. Please review your options with your claim representative.
